I'm Valerie or Val for short (call me either)! I've lived in Wisconsin my entire life, though I've called different parts home - from the Lake Michigan "coast" to the bluffs of La Crosse. Madison has been the latest home base and will be for a while! There's something about the calm, understated beauty of the Midwest that keeps me here. I love a summer day spent lounging lakeside just as much as a winter day spent cozying-up fireside. Plus, with lots of family nearby, it's definitely the place that feels most like home! 

You wouldn't believe it by the way I round up a twenty-person wedding party, but I'm actually an introvert at heart. Funnily enough, I still like photographing big weddings because it's easier to be a fly on the wall and capture all those cute candid moments! I absolutely LOVE the documentary aspect of wedding photography. From tears of joy to bursts of laughter, I want you to remember how you felt when you look at your photos. There's something so special about bottling up those little moments to look back on.
